Villages

Seven villages, one ZIP, one method. ZIP 32081 mails as "Ponte Vedra, FL" — it is St. Johns County, not Duval, and not 32082.

A vacuum hose worked along the base of a condenser coil, the compressor visible in the shadow behind it.
The same visit, village to village. What changes across 32081 is the age of the equipment.

What differs between the villages is the age of the housing, and with it the age of the equipment sitting in the cabinet openings. The community's first occupancies date to 2007 and the villages were built out in phases after that, so a call in one of the earlier villages and a call in one of the newest are usually two different conversations — the same 6 stages, a different stage giving the answer.

What does not change between them

The method. Whichever village the call comes from, the visit runs the same 6 stages in the same order, at the same flat fee, with the same written estimate before a part is ordered. What the village tells us is what to expect at the end of it: an older address more often reaches a repair-or-replace conversation, a newer one more often ends at an installation or clearance finding that costs an adjustment.
